Investigation of Potentially Critical Interference Environments for Gps/galileo Mass Market Receivers

چکیده
This paper presents new findings about radio interference threat in L1/E1 frequency band of GPS and coming Galileo. The results of a dedicated interference measurement campaign are presented. One type of the interference encountered during the campaign on several locations inside Germany has been modelled and the impact of this interference on massmarket GPS/Galileo L1 receivers has been assessed by performing hardware and software simulations. The results of the simulations show that under certain conditions this strong wideband interference may lead to the loss-of-lock in the receiver tracking units or non-ability to acquire the signal.

A Novel Interference Rejection Method for GPS Receivers
This paper proposes a new method for rejecting the Continuous Wave Interferences (CWI) in the Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers. The proposed filter is made by cascading an adaptive Finite Impulse Response (FIR) filter and a Wavelet Packet Transform (WPT) based filter. Although adaptive FIR filters are easy to implement and have a linear phase, they create self-noise in the rejection of...

Bandpass sampling architectures, also called subsampling architectures, exhibit several advantages over super-het architectures. First, the complexity of subsampling architectures is significantly lower since no Phased-Locked-Loop (PLL) is required. A direct consequence is that downconversion from RF to IF can be achieved with significant power savings as compared to the super-het architecture....

The University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) has full access to the Beidou system, QZSS, GLONASS, Galileo and GPS on its campus. Currently UNNC has a number of GNSS receivers that can access the multi-GNSS constellation, these being a ComNav K508 triple frequency GPS/BeiDou/GLONASS system, Unicore UR240-CORS-II and UR240-RTK GPS/BeiDou receivers, Javad SIGMA and TIUMPH-VS multi GNSS receive...
متن کاملComparison between GPS and Galileo satellite availability in the presence of CW interference
GNSS receivers have been shown to be most vulnerable to CW interference. It affects the acquisition process of the signal and can also pass through the tracking loop filters to affect the received satellite signal quality. Carrier to noise density ratio (C/No) is an indicator of received signal quality to the receiver. Lower C/No means lower quality of the received signal. Galileo satellites wi...
متن کاملGNSS Receiver Testing by Use of a Hardware Signal Simulator with Emphasis on Pulsed and CW Interference
In aviation environments various interference sources exist, which can degrade the performance of on-board receivers as well as the performance of ground based reference receivers (e.g. in GBAS stations). Therefore, besides functional receiver validation under nominal conditions also the behavior of the receiver under strong interference conditions, namely CW interferers, broadband noise and pu...
